The Winery:
This winery is an expression of one man’s wine passion, David Homewood. The winery and tasting room are located on the valley floor in the center of Los Carneros. Adjacent to the tasting room is a nice little patio area complete with picnic tables. There is also an inviting covered redwood deck with tables and a view past the vineyards, to the mountains in the distance.

The Vineyards:
The winery purchases grapes through long term contracts which allows for a complete partnership of winemaker and vineyard manager. The winery also purchases additional grapes on a one year contract basis to allow experimentation with other varietals and regions.

The Wines:
The wines of Homewood are handcrafted using as little intervention as possible. The red wines are unfiltered and unfined. The wines are aged in French oak to add a layered complexity to the fruit. The winery continues to spotlight the Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines that made them popular, but have added Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and most recently, a Sauvignon Blanc.

The Winemaker:
David Homewood, started as a home winemaker in 1983, and by 1986 he and two partners were producing Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines. By 1988 Homewood Winery was bonded, as David made the leap to commercial winemaker.
