The Winery:
Casa Carneros was started by married couple Melissa Moravec and Kurt Reaume, both active in wine making industry in the Carneros Region. Their love of the region & Burgundian style wines encouraged them to begin wine production at their estate. They started by planting grapes and began the production of wine a few years later. the estate is located on a small country road on a slight rise in an area of vineyards and great views.

The Vineyards:
The winery is surrounded by the estate Pinot Noir and Merlot vineyards.

The Wines:
The winery specializes in small production, handcrafted wines. They pride themselves on the development of Pinot Noirs with great complexity and extracted layers of rich fruit, great texture and well developed tannins. The Merlots are characterized by good acidity and depth of flavors from the long hang times achieved in the region.

The Winemaker:
Melissa Moravec graduated from UC Davis with a degree in viticulture. Prior to starting Casa Carneros she worked at Carneros Creek Winery.
