Winery:  The business office for the winery, which also accommodates tastings, is located in a beautiful French Style co untry farmhouse surrounded by wonderful rolling countryside. The Winery: Madonna is owned and operated by one of Napa Valley’s oldest winemaking families, the Bartoluccis.  The family’s first vineyard and winery, founded in the 1920s, was located in the Oakville region of the valley and sold in 1970.  The family then purchased the land in Los Carneros and once again began to grow grapes.  Within a few years the desire to once again produce commercial wines became too strong and the new Madonna Winery was built.  It is a beautiful Spanish Style facility with a wonderful, shade covered lawn and picnic area next the tasting room. Tastings range in price from $5 to $15 per person. The Winery: Francis Mahoney bought land in Carneros in 1972, and opened the winery, originally called Carneros Creek, in 1973. In 2001 he sold the Carneros Creek brand and began Mahoney Vineyards. The first wines were produced under that label in 2005. The actual winemaking facility was sold to Michael Mondavi Family in 2006. The Winery: The 55 acre estate was founded by Bob Mueller and Karen McKenzie in 1989 with the first wines produced in 1990.  This is a small, boutique winery with tasting done in the cellar room situated in as an Americana a scene as can imagine.  In fall the views across the gold and red vineyards is absolutely entrancing.  The walls of the tasting area are covered with work of local artists, including family members.  Read More

The Winery: Truchard is located in a beautifully restored rustic barn that was turned into a tasting room and winery in 1989.  The facility is surrounded by the estate vineyards as well as beautifully manicured gardens and lawns to enhance the experience.    The estate has five acres of olive trees producing Mission, Frantoio, and Pendolino olive varieties used in the production of olive oil for sale on site.  Tastings are free, but by appointment only and can include a tour of the vineyards and the 10,500 square foot wine cave.  Their  olive oil is also available for sale.    Read More
